Pre-Order McK0409 DSB Gs 01 86 120 3 257-5

The GS wagons were DSB's closed standard freight wagons from the mid - fifties and some decades onwards, and some of the wagons were in operation until the end of the nineties.
The wagons were delivered in three series with a few major and a number of minor differences.

GS series 2 was delivered in the period 1959-64 in 2000 copies, and more than half of the GS wagons were thus of this series.

The wagons, like the series 1 wagons, had a screw brake located on a brake platform, but had wider doors with a free opening of 2,000 mm.
The first approx. 500 carriages of series 2 had steps and gables as series I, while the subsequent carriages were given a different type of step with only one suspension, just as those on the upper part of the gables had the wooden cladding replaced by a plate.

All the wagons were EUROP-marked for shorter or longer periods, marked by a frame around the wagon number.

All 2000 wagons were supplied with five-digit wagon numbers, and like the Series 1 wagons, they were given UIC numbers around 1966.

In terms of colors and design, the wagons were dark brown with a silver roof on delivery.
Later, the roof color changed to dark gray, and later again the carriages became completely brown, in connection with the DSB design from the beginning of the seventies.
Finally, some of the wagons got the slightly lighter brown RAL 8025 design that was introduced in the mid-seventies, still with the large DSB in the upper left corner.

The largest part of Gs 2-carts disappeared during the eighties, but several vehicles were running well into the nineties

model

The models basically consist of a cast metal base and a car body made of plastic, and are subsequently built up of many loosely manufactured parts in both metal and plastic.
The carriages have, among other things, resilient buffers of brass, etched corner steps, handrails of metal wire and a richly detailed braking system.
All the tracks produced are with small steps and plate ends.
The GS 2 wagons are initially delivered in the following variants:

Five-digit numbers, brown body and silver roof, with and without EUROP marking (delivery version)

UIC numbers, brown car body and gray roof

DSB design, latest edition, brown car body and brown roof

Light brown, "RAL 8025 design"
