information about prototype: 50 diesel locomotives of the class 2062 from the ÖBB were delivered in 1957 as part of the Austrian State Treaty to the Soviet Union. With their double-walled, thermally insulated stem of the engine compartment, the locomotives equipped with all-burner boilers and additional driver's cab heating were designed for ambient temperatures from -50 to +45° C.
