Metall die-cast chassis. Motor with flywheel. Drive on four axles. 2 traction tyres. Interface according to NEM 651 to adapt a digital decoder.

Triple LED headlights and red tail light that change with the direction of travel. With switchable machine room lighting in digital mode. Close coupler motion link on each end of the locomotive. Coupler pocket according to NEM 355 standards.

The EuroCity train EC 22/23 "Johann Strauss" operated regularly between Vienna Westbahnhof and the City of Cologne. The German electric locomotive BR 103 was still used in the early 1990s and hauled train car consists on the Austrian Westbahn line. Ideal train composition: 814492-814496.
