Of the more than 400 diesel locomotives type T478.3 of Czechoslovak Railways, built betweenthe 1960s and 1970s and nicknamed "Brejlovec" ("Glasses") because of the characteristicshape of the front windows of the cabins, about 100 were profoundly reconstructedin the early 2000s by CZ Loko with new engines and equipmentand reclassified as 753.7, many of which were then purchased by variousCzech private railway companies.About 30 units went to OKD Doprava, which specializes in freight services;later the company was renamed AWT and finally acquired by PKP CargoInternational (international freight division of Polish Railways), although itit continues to operate mainly in the Czech Republic.
