A little history :
The BB 67400 form a series of diesel locomotives built in 232 units for the SNCF by Brissonneau et Lotz (BL) and Electric Traction Equipment (MTE). They were ordered on January 6, 1967, and the first was put into service on August 14, 1969 at the Chambéry depot.
These locomotives are suitable for running in multiple units (MU) with machines of the same series and the 67300 series, as well as in reversibility for passenger trains. They are derived from the BB 67000.
