In 1958, DSB received ten modern first-class wagons.
The wagons were given the letter AL, and the wagon numbers 341-350.
The carriages were spacious carriages with traditional accordion transitions, and from the outside they were easily recognizable on the large windows.
The carriages were delivered in the traditional reddish-brown paint, and inside they had comfortable "airplane seats".
Furthermore, they were born with the at that time relatively new yellow stripe over the windows, for marking first class.
The new wagons were used primarily in regional traffic, and were given a workshop area in Copenhagen.
In connection with the introduction of UIC numbers around 1966, the wagons were re-literated to Al, but otherwise retained the original wagon numbers.
After the advent of the Ag and ABg wagons, the wagons were declassified in 1972 to pure second class wagons, now with letter Bfh, but still with wagon numbers 341-350.
Up through the seventies, several minor modernisations of the carriages were carried out, and like virtually all other DSB´s passenger cars, the carriages were gradually repainted in the new red "DSB design".
For the Bfh wagons, this happened for most of the wagons around 1980.
In 1983, the wagons were rebuilt with the numbers 344-350, while the first three wagons (341-343) were scrapped.
The rebuilt wagons got, among other things, new wagon ends with built-in end signals and rubber beads. After the conversion, the wagons received the letter Af, and were sold after the decommissioning around 1990 to NSB.
