Pre-Order McK2708 DSB Dh 50 86 92-68 031-9

In 1951, DSB procured 12 small luggage wagons with steel box bodies.
The wagons were delivered by Scandia in Randers, and received letter EA, with operating numbers 6001-6012.
They were fitted with a shorter version of the bogies with which the contemporary CC wagons were delivered, as the wheelbase was only 2,500 mm, compared to 3,000 mm on the CC wagons.
The carriages were equipped with both self-heating and toilet, and the 12 carriages were not the same, as the first 6 carriages had accordions, while the last 6 only had hangers.
In 1963, they were followed by another 20 wagons with the same liter, with the operating numbers 6013-6032.
Unlike the first carriages, series 2 did not have the characteristic belly belt under the windows, and the windows were placed differently, and of a different type. Furthermore, the wagons of the 2nd series had oil burners, and then the distance between the bogies was 200 mm longer than on the first wagons.
The new carriages were delivered without accordions, but had these fitted shortly after delivery.
Around 1966-67, the wagons were lettered to Dea with the same operating numbers, and around 1969 the wagons were given the letter Dh, with the UIC numbers 50 (or 51) 86 92-68 001-032.
Around 1980, the 20 newest wagons were modernized, with i.a. built-in end signals and electric heating, and they were painted red at the same time, but did not get the big "DSB" attached.
A single wagon of the first series was likewise painted red, presumably by mistake.
The wagons of the first series were set aside in the early eighties, while the modernized wagons of the second series were scrapped in 1984-1985.
Subsequently, some of the wagons found other uses, e.g. some of the series 1 carriages are used for a period as train driver carriages in the freight trains on the Assens line.
