Between 1937 and 1952, DSB received a total of 44 long-distance carriages of liter AC. The wagons were pure first-class wagons, and there were generally two different versions of the wagons, partly 28 wagons delivered in 1937-1939, partly 16 wagons delivered in 1949-1952. The first 28 first wagons had the operating numbers 11-36 and 71-72, while the last 16 wagons were given the numbers 37-52 The most visible difference between the two versions was the roofs. The first 28 carriages had a smooth roof that tapered slightly inwards at the carriage ends, as well as some very strong tubular vents, while the 16 newest carriages had a roof with longitudinal secure, and vents of a new flat type, and they thus resembled at this point they simultaneously delivered CC carriages. The wagons were delivered with brown wagon boxes and a gray roof, and with traditional yellow inscriptions. Around 1956, the wagons had a longitudinal yellow stripe painted under the roof edge as a mark of first class, which was also marked by large white ones on the sides of the wagons and doors. Furthermore, the wagons were until approx. 1960 painted space numbers under the windows outside, and approx. at the same time, some of the cars had their roofs painted silver, in the style of various other passenger car types. Around 1966, the wagons were given UIC numbers, and on that occasion had the letter changed to Ac, just as they were given a 0 in front of the previous operating numbers. In 1969 the wagons were re-literated to Ah, and in 1972-73 13 of the newest wagons were rebuilt with new wagon ends etc., and then got letter Ag. In connection with DSB receiving the last ten A-wagons in 1974, the remaining part of the Ah-wagons was declassified with a new letter Bah. After some years on the sidelines, most of the wagons were then scrapped in the latter half of the seventies, as a few wagons survived, i.a. as special wagons.
