The locomotive and the tender are constructed mostly of metal. A 72270 smoke unit can be installed in the locomotive. Dual headlights, which change over with the direction of travel, and the smoke unit, which can be installed, will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. Maintenance-free warm white LEDs are used for the lighting. There is a permanent close coupling between the locomotive and tender.
