Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) class 52 steam locomotive. Version with a tub-style tender and Witte smoke deflectors. The locomotive looks as it did around 1953.
Model: The locomotive has an mfx digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It also has controlled high-efficiency propulsion. 5 axles powered. Traction tires. The locomotive's frame is articulated to enable the locomotive to negotiate sharp curves. The dual headlights change over with the direction of travel, will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. A 7226 smoke generator can be installed in the locomotive. Piston rod protection sleeves are included and can be installed on the locomotive.
